What a bunch of idiots!

In the 'news' in the last few days, has been some woman who wrote a blog voicing her opinion that watching large people walk across a room or kiss each other, disgusted her.  Big deal!
The chat shows and morning entertainment shows have been banging on about how due to this blogger's opinion, women have been upset to the point of being too embarrassed to leave their house due to their size.  REALLY?
As a large person, and a blogger, I would like to say that NO this blogger should not be attacked for voicing her opinion.  I believe the world's media should take a good hard look at themselves, for giving this blogger so much attention in the first place.
Personally, I had never heard of this woman before, and there would have been no way I would have even come across her blog.
If someone already feels that they are disgusting or look horrible because of their weight, then someone voicing their opinion in a blog would REMIND them of those feelings, and bring them to the surface, yes.  But for people such as myself, who are happy within themselves and actually have a strong sense of self belief, then the opinion of someone across the other side of the world has absolutely no effect whatsoever.
For anyone out there who was upset by the contents of this woman's blog, you can't blame her for your lack of belief in yourself.  Stop blaming other people for everything, and actually look down into yourself for something that you like about yourself, and seek help in boosting your confidence.
But don't be fooled by the media into believing that this woman MADE you feel this way because of her opinions.
Now my favourite morning show has TOLD me what was in the blog, and has TOLD me how upset and angry and embarrassed that I am as a large person.  Then they go on to say how bad this woman is, and that she has been forced to retract the blog article, and apologise for her mistake.
NO I AM NOT upset, angry or embarrassed about my size.
NO I AM NOT at all interested in the opinion of a woman over the other side of the world.
NO I AM NOT grateful to all you 'caring' reporters, 'loving' chat show hosts and 'empathetic' newspaper editors out there who are fighting the good fight on my behalf and telling this woman she is bad.
Leave her alone, leave me alone, and find something that is actually news to talk about.
