My little NCIS moment!

Well you should have seen me yesterday folks.  I got this idea in my head, as to how to make a connection with Favourite Dad.  And for those of you who know me, you know that my ideas aren't always the best.  lol

But this one totally worked!

I wrote a poem to him, not a lovey dovey one, cos that's just not where my head space was at.  (And to those of you who know me, NO it was not a filthy one either!! - shocked me too, let me tell ya!!).

Once I had written it, I then had to get it to him, without the risk of being seen by family in the area, and without directly giving it to him in case he rejected me to my face.  Would rather die!  lol.

So I head off down to the school an hour before it lets out for the day, and I notice a child's play park area right around where Favourite Dad usually parks his car.  Regardless of the impending rain, I sit there, watching cars go past, and waiting for him to show up.  Bout half an hour later, he pulls up, parks his car and heads off into the school.  Now I have a slight issue.  The family units have been past, so I know I won't get caught by them, but right by his car is a road crossing, and the patrol ladies are due to come out.  I almost chickened out it has to be said.  Would have been kicking myself today, but I almost did.  But then my phone rang, and my ring tone is the NCIS theme!  Yes I know it sounds completely batty, but it was almost like a message from Mark Harmon, who plays Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs,. saying "Go for it!".
So I made like I HAD to cross the road right at the point in front of Favourite Dad's car, and quickly put the poem under his wiperblades.  Then I have never got my ass so quickly across that road as I did yesterday.

When I went in to the school, he was there, but was having a conversation with someone else but that didn't matter.  I got my kid out right on bell time, which meant that I had an hour to wait till the next bus.
Perfectly fine by me, cos I was back out on the main road, able to see his car, as he got back there and collected my poem.

In my poem, I had that if he wanted to contact me, just to text the number that I gave him, and let me know it was him.  Cos I never knew his first name, I asked in the poem that he put his car rego number in as well, so that I would know who he was.  Well, all last night, I got no text.  Here's me thinking that I wasn't gonna hear from him, and that I may as well forget it.

This morning I get a missed call from a number I don't recognise, and I spend two hours deliberating whether it might be him, it might not be, it may be someone looking to hire me to make a website, it might be a wrong number...... eventually, on the advice of some friends, I called the number back, and it was him!!
So I now have his name, and number, and my little NCIS moment paid off!!  There's only been one short conversation, but he did say that he would see me this afternoon outside the school.  But I am gonna be good and not go this afternoon, am on too much of a high.  If I see him now, I am liable to say or do the wrong thing and fuck up my brilliant start.  Will probably see him tomorrow afternoon, so it's all good.  I should be much calmer by then.  Should be.  lol

If there is someone you like, and you have observed them for a while, and you are pretty sure they are available, then GO FOR IT!  Talk to them, and see what happens.  Cos trust me, it does pay off!

Oh, and Favourite Dad, if you read this, I wasn't stalking in a creepy way.  I just notice things when I am around people, and have been waiting for all the pieces to fit into place before I took the plunge.  :)
